Construct 4 (12 IN) Birds in Air-Baby blocks.

Block Pattern

Sew 4 blocks into a set to construct 1 mirror imaged block.

Use a design wall to layout the blocks as they will be arranged in the quilt.

Construct 4 Baby-Rail Fence Wide Vertical blocks of size 12.5 by 11.5 IN.

Block Pattern

Sew pairs of sash blocks into vertical strips for each mirror imaged block.

Sew vertical sash blocks (Baby-Rail Fence Wide Vertical) to the left side of the each quilt block in the quilt center.

On the right most column of quilt center blocks also sew a vertical sash block to the side right of the each block.

Sew the Baby-Bordered Square blocks to horizontal sash strips to make 2 complete horizontal sash strips.

Sew a horizontal sash strip to the top of each row.

Sew a horizontal sash strip to the bottom of last row.

Sew rows together.

Borders

Construct 2 strips the width of the fabric and length at least 52.5. Sew strips together to form horizontal seams in the backing.

Fabric required: 3/8 YD. Cut 5 strips of width 2.5 IN.
